Daily Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrive Auckland: Welcome to Auckland - the 'City of Sails'. Walk along the harbor, visit a museum, or dine at a trendy restaurant in Parnell Village, as you prepare to embark on your journey across New Zealand.

Day 2 - Auckland to Wellington: Travel by coach to Otorohanga to connect with the Overlander Train. End the day at Wellington, New Zealand's beautiful capital city.

Day 3 - Wellington to Christchurch: Take the Interislander Ferry across Cook Strait to Picton. Join the TranzCoastal Train to complete the journey to Christchurch.

Day 4 - Christchurch: Enjoy Christchurch at leisure. Tour the cathedral, visit the Art Gallery or Canterbury Museum, view the Botanic Gardens or see many of the world's endangered animals at the Orana Wildlife Park. Want to get out? Bike up the Summit Road for fantastic views of the city, the harbor, and the surrounding Southern Alps. End the day feasting at one of Christchurch's premier restaurants.

Day 5 - Christchurch to Greymouth to Franz Josef: Travel on the famous TranzAlpine scenic train from Christchurch to Greymouth. Then, continue on, via coach, to your hotel in Franz Josef, situated right near the famous glacier.

Day 6 - Franz Josef to Queenstown: Travel south to Queenstown, through the Haast Pass. Enjoy the views of Lake Wanaka and Lake Dawea.

Day 7 - Depart Queenstown: Explore the beautiful city of Queenstown, as your trip in New Zealand comes to a close.
